ZD8UW – Ascension Island
Ascension Island
Between 31 December 2007 and 09 January 2009, six members of the Cambridge University Wireless Society will be QRV from Ascension Island (AF-003) using the call ZD8UW.
Expedition members will be Hugo M0HSW, Tom M0TJH, Simon G4EAG, Michael G7VJR, Gordon G3USR and Martin G3ZAY.
Modes will be SSB and CW on HF bands. Logs will be uploaded to LoTW shortly after the expedition.

QTH is Garden Cottage which is high up on Green Mountain and has an excellent take off in many directions.
We have a mixture of skills and interests in our team, and will run multiple stations simultaneously, so hopefully there will be something for everyone.

Many thanks for a new one on 160m. Your signal is outstanding, so local qrn/qrm is no problem here. By the way, it was the first dx-qso with my renovated tree-vertical antenna.
