Kosovo Press Release # 1 February 16, 2008
A multi-national group of Amateur Radio operators is now in Kosovo in an effort to support and help revitalize Amateur Radio locally. The initial team members will begin activity today. Activity will be on all bands on CW and SSB. Look for YU8/G3TXF, YU8/N7NG, YU8/OH2BH, YU8/OH2PM, YU8/ON8NC and YU8/W3UR. More details will be released when available. QSL via the operator??s home callsign.

As far as I understand Kosovo will only be regognized by a limited number of countries and UN membership will be veto’d by Russia, so wonder if this operation isn’t a bit premature?

It is NOT HAM Spirit. This is more political action from OH2BH & Co. I am very disapointed. ONLY Serbian MOC can relese YU8 License. UNMIK is TEMPORARY Administration in Kosovo and can only help to getting License as 4U, but never YU8. It’s a bull shit DX trip (IMHO)
