Netherlands Antilles – New DXCC entities?

President of EUDXF Hans, PB2T, visited ARRL HQ in July. There was a discussion about the DXCC status of Netherlands Antilles.
After December 15th, 2008, it’s looking likely four new entities for Curacao, Sint Maarten, Saba, Sint Eustatius and Bonaire….for future DXCC.
From Wikipedia:
The Netherlands Antilles is to be disbanded on December 15, 2008.[10] The idea of the Netherlands Antilles as a state never enjoyed full support of all islands. Political relations between islands were often strained. After a long struggle, Aruba seceded from the Netherlands Antilles in 1986, to form its own state within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The desire for secession has also been strong in Sint Maarten.
On February 12, 2007, an agreement was signed between the Netherlands and every island except Cura?§ao. This agreement would end the Netherlands Antilles by December 15, 2008

My guess is that St. Maarten will probably continue as an entity, but its 2 satellite islands will be new ones. It will be interesting if either of the two southern (Bonaire & Curaco) ones are grandfathered in as successors to the NA, or the entire entity will be deleted and restarted as 2 new ones. If it is deleted, and you’ve already been credited with the northern and soutehrn NA (they are currently separate entities), a ham would keep St. Maarten, add two after working the new northern ones, lose credit for NA in the south but add two more after working B&C. Net gain on your score would then be 2+2-1 = 3.
