9X – Rwanda – Summer 2007

Still sketchy details, but EA5RM informs the DX community of a multi-national team operating from Kigali, Rwanda during the summer. No other news as yet.

EA5RM was QSL manager and operator during last year’s excellent DXpedition to Western Sahara (S01R). Maybe a clue?!

Solar Flux is 65!

The following is from VE3EN’s Solar Cycle 24 website:

The solar flux has now reached the low of 65. This matches how low it dipped at the bottom of the previous cycle on July 21,1996. Never during the last bottom period did the solar flux reach 64. To compare what we could be in store for… not until one year and 2 months later September 7,1997 did the solar flux reach the 100 mark again. During that period, for the most part… the flux never again dipped into the 60’s or 70’s. The new cycle had begun.
